Spaghetti Carbonara Recipe
This spaghetti Carbonara recipe is as delicious as it is fast and easy. This dish is an authentic Italian recipe will be sure to please your entire family. This recipe yields 4 servings.
Ingredients:
- 1 pound spaghetti
- 1 pound chopped ham
- 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 (4 ounce) jar diced pimento peppers
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 2/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 can black olives, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
Directions:
- Fill a large pot with water until it comes to a boil. Cook spaghetti until tender (about 10 minutes)
- Melt butter in a large skillet and add the oil and ham, sauteing lightly.
- Add the cooked spaghetti, cheese, garlic, bacon, parsley, salt and pepper to the skillet. Mix well.
- Turn off heat and pout beaten eggs over mixture. Toss to coat evenly and add the olives and pimento peppers, tossing again. Serve immediately.
